Pursuant to Section 14 of The Planning Act, the South Interlake Planning District (SIPD) is responsible for the administration and enforcement of its member municipal Building By-laws, which concern the design, construction, and occupancy of new buildings; the alteration, renovation, and demolition of existing buildings; and any requirements that are necessary to correct unsafe conditions in existing buildings.
